Case Study Format
All case studies are to be completed on your own and without the help of any kind. The case studies are due at the beginning of class, unless otherwise noted. If your case study is late, a penalty will be assessed against the grade. If you have problems with the case study, there will be ample time for you to meet with me or email me and get your questions answered. Please write and sign the following pledge on the cover sheet of each case study: “Help was neither given nor received in the completion of this case study.” Your paper will not be graded unless you include this on the cover sheet.
The case studies must be typed, double-spaced, and with 1 inch margins all around the page. Include a title page with your name, the class, date, and the pledge on it. The case studies will present a situation to you and then require you to respond to the situation. Do not retype the situation. Starting with the first question answer each question without restating the question. Answer the questions in order and leave extra space between your answers. If there are calculations type them up as part of your answer to the question.
C. Attendance
Attendance at all classes is required. Attendance will be taken at the start of each class.
If you miss a Test or the Final, your grade will be recorded as a “0”.
Emergency Procedures. Southern Illinois University Carbondale is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for study and work. Because some health and safety circumstances are beyond our control, we ask that you become familiar with the SIUC Emergency Response Plan and Building Emergency Response Team (BERT) program. Emergency response information is available on posters in buildings on campus, available on BERT’s website at www.bert.siu.edu, Department of Safety’s website www.dps.siu.edu (disaster drop down) and in Emergency Response Guidelines pamphlet. Know how to respond to each type of emergency.
Instructors will provide guidance and direction to students in the classroom in the event of an emergency affecting your location. It is important that you follow these instructions and stay with your instructor during an evacuation or sheltering emergency. The Building Emergency Response Team will provide assistance to your instructor in evacuating the building or sheltering within the facility.
